Buying and Selling, Selling and Buying...Omg....

Can selling one house and buying another be anymore stressful? Well, ol Tim will tell you right quick that it is pretty high on his stress list. You have 20 million people from 20 million agencies calling and making appointments with you. People needing emails and copies of paperwork that has you running all over town trying to get and then get to them only to have 50 million different people handling things and every time someone calls they are needing things that MONTHS ago you faxed, emailed or mailed into them. Then, you have Tim fuming every time that call comes in to get with the original guy on our account! Holy hell what a mess.....

Add to all that multiple trips 2 hours away to and from where we are buying our new house plus trips to and from his out of town new job and that's leaving Tim a crazed, eye twitching husband. I do my best to calm the storms. I let him use me as a sounding board, venting tool and I give awesome hugs when he's red in the face and spitting mad. It's hard when ur right in the middle of things to realize all of this is only temporary but I and Tim both keep trying to remember that through it all.

This is the first week our home has been listed for sale. We've had two calls so far but no "look see's" yet. We aren't too bent out of shape on if we can sell or not though. Awesome thing about Tims company is that if it doesn't sell after so many months, his company buys the house from us. YAY!! Can't really beat that! So, one LESS thing to stress about.

When we bought the house we live in now we were SPOILED rotten. Surround sound system in our room, living room and back patio, Security system and camera's, stained concrete flooring in every room, a huge lot where we aren't sitting on top of each neighbor....Spoiled...Where we are moving its cut and dry plain Jane no add ons NOTHING at all. A house with rooms and GAHHHHH...Carpet...... Carpet is the enemy when ur a family with pets. I don't believe in locking the "kids" outside. They are my family and will stay in my house. Concrete floors are perfect for pets. If or when they make a mess ur not spending time and money cleaning it up like we've done before. So, this new house will be lived in by us for a few years and then we're OUTTA THERE! Will only has 3 more years of high school and then we aren't so locked down.

Oh..And guess what. Our new house and the lack of, like, everything? THAT's THE NORM in this location. Right outside of Houston and the area is growing faster than a wild fire can burn it down. These homes are all "track" homes. All pretty much look the same and NO COLOR. As in no color in flowers and bushes. SERIOUSLY?! And they can ask and get whatever they want too. These homes for the next 5-10 years are in demand and sell quick. No one in this area will or can do the stained concrete or surround sound, lol! Omg.... See what I mean about spoiled? Oh, and its regular insulation too. No spray foam which is AMAZING on your electric bill. Nope, only the million dollar homes get foamed..... Seriously....

Have I mentioned that my ice cream intake is through the roof?? Oh yes, Ben and Jerry's and I are family now.......

You can be the first house on the block to plant some flowers! And you can take your security cameras with you or is that included with the sale?
Oh well, you'll be puttering around there getting stuff done up purdy...
OR....
you can stay here.....just saying...

So, y'all have already found a house there? I'm sort of confused on that. That's good though that the company will buy the one you have now if it doesn't sell in a while. And, didn't y'all put in a pool? And, are you saying that the "new" house won't be lived in for too long?

I'm sorry, Crystal; confusion seems to be my middle name.

BUT hey, I'm SO glad to see you here. Now, tell Mammy to put up a post too!

Love you guys.

Yes, Sally girl! We found a house last week that we put under contract to buy. As soon as we buy it Tim will go ahead and move everything in. Will and I will stay with mom and dad, just bringing our clothes with us, so Will can do his sophomore year here where we currently live. We have a pool where we live now and Tim is getting one installed at the new house as well when we buy it. I hope that helps!
