The Worst 911 calls of the Year
When: Jan. 2
The call: A spurned girlfriend faked an emergency so police would show up to talk to her boyfriend – who was trying to break up with her. She was charged with disorderly conduct. Ana Perez Charged With Disorderly Conduct, A woman called 911 claiming her boyfriend was attacking her with the misguided hope the police appearing would make him marry her.
A woman has been charged with disorderly conduct after calling police to try and scare her boyfriend into marrying her.
Ana Perez made an emergency call and claimed she was being attacked by her boyfriend.
When two officers arrived at her flat in Chicago she told them she had made up the story and hoped their presence would 'scare' her boyfriend into proposing.
But the officers were unamused and charged the 40-year old with disorderly conduct.
The boyfriend later told police he had not intention of marrying Perez and had been in the process of breaking up with her.
Police chiefs said officers who attended the emergency call expected to find a woman in danger.
'After the cops get there she tells them that she made up the story to get police to the scene,’’ said police Captain Ronald Pontecore.
'She called 911 to scare him and have the police force him to marry her.
'It puts us in jeopardy and the public. It’s not a good thing,' Pontecore said.
'It ticked the officers off.'
Perez was arrested at the scene.
She is due in court next month to face a disorderly conduct charge.

The dispatcher noted that the boy did not seem to be in any distress, but that he just wanted the letter written.

The call: The former “Two and a Half Men” star was deep into his “winning” phase when a neighbor called 911 to report that Sheen was in severe pain after a reported 36-hour bender. Charlie Sheen suffered a hiatal hernia in his stomach -- not an overdose -- and it may have triggered the 911 call that landed Charlie in the hospital. Sources tell us the hernia is located in Charlie's stomach. The condition causes acid and food to back up into the esophagus ... and we're told it causes "horrible, horrendous pain."
When: Feb. 3
The call: A 21-year-old “horticulturalist” quizzed a 911 dispatcher about how much trouble he could be in for “nurturing” his hobby. 21-year-old Robert Michelson called a 911 dispatcher and admitted that he was growing marijuana, but Michelson wasn't trying to turn himself in, he wanted legal advice on how much trouble he could get in for growing the pot. "I'm reporting a possible crime," Michelson said, "I'm growing marijuana and I want to know how much trouble I can get in for one plant."
When: April 29
The call: A drug buyer brazenly called 911 to report that his dealer had given him back the wrong change. Police arrested a 41-year-old man last week after he called 911 and told officers that he was not given the correct change after buying crack cocaine from a drug dealer.
In the audio recording, Dexter White tells the 911 dispatcher that a drug dealer did not give him the correct amount of narcotics during a purchase. (He paid his dealer $60 for crack cocaine, but had received only $20 worth of the drug.)
A Kansas man was busted by cops for hiring a prostitute – after he called them because she wasn't hot enough.
Ahmed Hasnain, 26, was nabbed on a misdemeanor charge at a Motel 6 in Wichita, Kan., after he said he was robbed by two escorts, according to the arrest report posted on the Smoking Gun.
"[HASNAIN] didn't like that there were two women and wanted a refund," the arrest report said.
He told police he'd been robbed of $160 – but cops said he just wanted a refund from the women, who refused to give it to him.
Instead, the 26-year-old was charged with patronizing a prostitute.
This is far from the first time a miffed customer has called the cops to report an illegal sex transaction gone wrong. In April, a man in Franklin, Wis., called cops after a pair of strippers didn't show up at his hotel room – even though they promised.
He complained he had spent $1,000 on lap dances from the two, the UPI reported.

When: Sept. 13
It seems that Terry Lynn Kimbell was actually acting responsibly, until he called the cops.
Police arrested Kimbell outside a Taco Bell around 12:00 a.m. Wednesday morning after the 50-year-old Floridian walked to the Mexican fast food chain after a night of drinking and dialed 911 when restaurant employees refused to serve him at the drive-through window.
Unfortunately for Kimbell, by the time he made it to Taco Bell, the establishment seems to have a no-car, no-tacos policy for the drive through.
Here's the call transcript, acquired by Bay News 9.
911: "Largo emergency."
Kimbell: "It's not an emergency. However, can you -- can you put me through to dispatch? I'm at the Taco Bell, and I walked in, and I left my car on purpose, so I wouldn't drink and drive. I walked up, they wouldn't serve me. So, I'm at the Taco Bell at 137th and Walsingham and I just want some tacos. That's it."
Rather than simply hanging up on Kimbell, the police operator investigated deeper into the matter.
911: "What are the employees saying?"
Kimbell: "You can't walk up, you've got to drive up. You got a get a DUI to get a taco. I got the munchies and I walked a quarter mile from here. Are you going to help me out or do I have to get arrested to get home? You know what I'm saying?"
911: "Well, we're not going to take you home."
Kimbell: "I want you to call the manager at the Taco Bell."
Police charged Kimbell with misuse of the 911 system.
